Wayne Kerr's experience in component measurement is unique in the industry and recognized for the depth of expertise and breadth of knowledge.
This Optional Accessories Summary gives brief details of some of the optional accessories which are available to facilitate and enhance measurements made with the Wayne Kerr Electronics range of component analyzers.

Accessories

1100 Protection Unit

High precision component measuring instruments can be destroyed by charged capacitors - leading to expensive repairs and unacceptable downtime. The 1100 Protection Unit is designed for use with the 6430B or 6440B Component Analyzers to provide protection up to 25 Joules. In the event of an overload a fuse blows and the test equipment remains unharmed.

1005 4-terminal component fixture

Remote test fixture for hand feeding axial, radial or bandoliered components. The cable is terminated with four colour-coded BNC connectors. The fixture incorporates a push button switch and a jack plug for triggering the measurements when the instrument is in 'single measurement' mode.

1006 4-terminal component fixture (1 MHz)

Remote test fixture for axial, radial or bandoliered components. Complete with cable terminating in four BNC connectors.

1008 Telecom Fixture

Telecom Fixture model 1008 further enhances the test capability of the 3261A Telecom Unit by providing an interface to connect units under test such as transformers. A wide variety of telecom-related measurements can be carried out using 3261A, 3260B Precision Magnetics Analyzer and the 1008.

1009 DC Bias Fixture

With the addition of the 1009 DC Bias Fixture DC bias currents up to 50 A can be applied to an SMD inductor during component test in order to evaluate the devices thoroughly at the operational bias currents. The fixture operates with either one or two 3265B Wayne Kerr DC bias units and a 3260B Precision Magnetics Analyzer. The optional 1009 50A lead set, 5-328-2005, will be required if two 3265B/25As are used. Four rear panel mounted BNC connectors and two captive high current cables ensure simplicity and ease of use with the 3265B.

1505 4-terminal lead

600 mm extension cable terminated with four BNC connectors at the instrument end and four individual crocodile clips at the component end.

1905A SMD probe lead

BNC terminated lead with two pointed probes to access surface mounted devices (SMDs) on circuit boards. Additionally this accessory may be used for interfacing to hybrid components and chip components on tape.

A40100 Kelvin Clips (fine jaw)

600 mm extension cable terminated with four BNC connectors at the instrument end and a pair of fine jawed Kelvin clips at the component end.

A40120 SMD tweezers

Chip component tweezers for contacting leadless devices. The cable is terminated with BNC connectors.

A40180 Kelvin Clips (large jaw)

600mm extension cable terminated with four BNC connectors at the instrument end and a pair of large jawed Kelvin clips at the component end.
